Sensei AI is a solid interview copilot with a free plan that's actually usable: 15-minute copilot sessions, plus the resume builder, story editor, and coding copilot. The reason people search for alternatives is the pricing shape. Pro is $89 a month, or $24 a month if you pay $288 for a year up front. Neither fits a typical search well. Two months at $89 is $178. A year is $288 for something most people need for a quarter.

This guide compares five alternatives, with each one's price on October 17, 2026, unless another date is noted. We make YesToTheOffer, which is one of the five, so we say where Sensei AI is the better pick too.

What Sensei AI charges

From senseicopilot.com on October 17, 2026:

PlanPriceWhat you get
Free$015-minute copilot sessions, resume builder, story editor, coding copilot, playground
Pro, monthly$89 a monthUnlimited copilot sessions and the same tools
Pro, yearly$24 a month, billed annually ($288)The same. Marked as saving 73 percent

Three months at the monthly rate is $267, so the yearly plan only wins if your search runs longer than that. The site has an FAQ on cancellation that we didn't read in full, so check it before you commit to a year. The platforms weren't stated on the page we read. Our Sensei AI review has the detail.

For a short search: pay for minutes

YesToTheOffer

We make this one. A desktop app for macOS and Windows that transcribes the interview, drafts answer points from your resume and the job description, helps with coding from screenshots, and gives a transcript and review afterward. You buy minutes: $9.99 for 90, $29.99 for 240. No subscription, minutes never expire, 30 free minutes to start.

The math against Sensei AI: five one-hour interviews cost about $33 in minutes. One month of Pro is $89. Ten one-hour interviews across three months cost about $67, against $267 monthly or $288 annual.

Where Sensei AI is better: the free plan includes a resume builder and story editor, which we don't have. Its Pro plan has no session cap and no meter running, so a very heavy month of practice costs nothing extra. And the coding copilot is included in the free plan, where ours uses minutes (at a fifth of the normal rate).

For a long search: cheaper monthly plans

CoPilot Interview

The lowest monthly price we found: Standard at $14.99 on sale (regular $19.99), with 60-minute sessions and up to 100 minutes a day. Pro is $29.99 with 70-minute sessions, and Pro Annual is $199.99 a year, which is $88 less than Sensei AI's year. Native Windows and macOS apps. The trade-off is the session cap: a final round that runs 75 minutes means restarting a session. No mock interviews and no resume tools.

Verve AI

The free plan is the most generous for practice: 5 AI mock interviews and 3 copilot sessions of 15 minutes, no card needed. Standard was $44.99 a month and Pro $84.99 on October 9, 2026, with lower rates on longer billing; on October 17 the page showed plan limits but no dollar prices in the text we read, so confirm at checkout. Standard allows 5 copilot sessions of 60 minutes a month, Pro unlimited 90-minute sessions. Mac, Windows, and iPhone. See our Verve AI review.

For mock interviews and a full prep suite

Final Round AI

Mock interviews in several scenarios, a question bank, a live copilot, and an automatic debrief after each session. The homepage says Pro is "from $25 a month," but the plan page lists $62.50 a month billed annually, $83.33 half-yearly, and $125 every two months. There's no free trial for live sessions, and monthly plans are non-refundable, with a 72-hour guarantee on first-time quarterly and yearly purchases. macOS 14.4+ and Windows. See our Final Round AI review.

LockedIn AI

Unlimited is $109.98 a month with $43.99 for the first payment, or a 3-month plan billed quarterly, plus a $799.60 lifetime plan. Two-hour sessions, mock interviews, a coding copilot, and iOS and Android apps. The first-payment discount is the catch: month two is full price. See our LockedIn AI alternatives if that price sends you looking further.

Where Sensei AI is still the better choice

  • You'll use it for most of a year. $288 for unlimited sessions over twelve months is less than any monthly plan here over the same period except CoPilot Interview's annual plan.
  • You want a resume builder and story editor bundled in, on the free plan.
  • You don't want a meter. Pay-per-minute tools make you think about time. Sensei AI Pro doesn't.
  • You're happy with 15-minute sessions for practice. The free plan is enough to rehearse answers to single questions indefinitely.

Before you switch, check three things

Whichever alternative you pick, three details decide whether it actually fits better than Sensei AI.

  • The session cap. Sensei AI Pro has none. CoPilot Interview stops at 60 or 70 minutes, Verve AI at 60 or 90. If your final rounds run long, that matters more than the monthly price.
  • The free trial. Run one real practice call on the new tool before paying. Every tool here offers something free, and ten minutes with your own headset tells you more than any comparison table.
  • The refund terms. Monthly plans are often non-refundable once used, and lifetime plans almost always are. Read the policy before the first payment, not after.

Check the rules first

None of these tools makes AI help allowed. Many employers ban it in live interviews and assessments. Use them for preparation, mock interviews, and reviewing the transcript afterward unless the rules say otherwise.
