Cluely is built for meetings. Its pricing page talks about meetings, homework, and sales calls, and nothing on it is specific to job interviews. If you want help in an interview (the question transcribed as it's asked, an answer outline drawn from your own resume, a hint on a coding problem, and a review afterward), five tools are made for that: YesToTheOffer, Parakeet AI, Final Round AI, LockedIn AI, and Interview Coder. They do broadly similar things. Where they differ most is how you pay.
Prices are from each vendor's pricing page on October 5, 2026. They change, and some vary by region, so check before you buy.
The five tools side by side
| Tool | Best for | Price (checked Oct 5, 2026) | How you pay | Platforms |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| YesToTheOffer | A few interviews, paying only for what you use | $29.99 = 240 min, $59.99 = 600 min, $99.99 = 1,200 min | Per minute, no subscription, minutes never expire | Mac (Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows, web |
| Parakeet AI | Heavy users who want unlimited sessions | Unlimited $149.90/month ($49.99/month billed yearly); credits from $38 | Subscription, or credits (0.5 credit = 30-minute session) | Windows, macOS, web |
| Final Round AI | Mock interviews and live help in one plan | Pro from $25/month; no free trial for live sessions | Subscription | macOS 14.4+, Windows |
| LockedIn AI | Frequent technical interviews | Unlimited $54.99/month, or $39.99/month billed every 3 months | Subscription (up to 2 hours per interview) | Not listed on pricing page |
| Interview Coder | Coding-heavy loops | $299/month (1,000 credits) or $799 lifetime | Subscription or one-time | Mac, Windows |
| Cluely (for reference) | Meetings and sales calls | Free tier; Pro $19.99/month; top plan $149.99/month | Subscription | Mac, iOS |
What Cluely is missing for interviews
Cluely's pitch is a meeting AI that helps "during the call." On a sales call the useful context is the conversation itself. In an interview the useful context is you: the projects on your resume, the job description, and the stories you've prepared. Technical rounds also put a problem on the screen, which a meeting note-taker doesn't handle, and afterward you'll want a transcript so you can see which answers fell flat before the next round.
Then there's the cost. Most people have a few interviews spread over a month or two, and Cluely Pro is $19.99 a month, with the top plan at $149.99.
YesToTheOffer
We make YesToTheOffer, so read this section with that in mind. It's a desktop app for macOS and Windows, and there's a web app too. During an interview it transcribes the interviewer's questions as they come in and drafts answer points from your resume, the job description, and any notes you've added. In a coding round you capture the problem from your screen and get an approach and code. When the interview ends, the history stays in the app and you get a review.

Pricing is the main reason to choose it over the others. You buy minutes instead of a subscription, and they don't expire. $29.99 buys 240 minutes, about $7.50 an hour. $59.99 buys 600 minutes (about $6.00 an hour), and $99.99 buys 1,200 minutes, which comes to about $5.00 an hour.
A session with live transcription counts at 1.0x, and turning on coding help in the same session doesn't change that. Coding help on its own counts at 0.2x, so the 240-minute pack stretches to 1,200 minutes of screenshot help. Billing is by the started minute, and new accounts get 30 free minutes.

It's a smaller product than Final Round AI or LockedIn AI, and it doesn't come with a resume builder or headshots. If you only have a few interviews and don't want another monthly bill, that's usually a fair trade.
Parakeet AI
Look at Parakeet AI if you expect to interview a lot. The unlimited plan is $149.90 a month, or $49.99 a month if you pay $599.90 for the year, and there's a $78 weekly option as well. Credits are the other route: $38 for one, $59 for three, $118 for eight (two of them bonus), or $177 for fifteen (six bonus). A 30-minute call session uses half a credit.
Along with the desktop app for Windows and macOS and a web version, Parakeet includes coding support, 50+ languages, a question bank, resume downloads, and headshots.
Final Round AI
Final Round AI is closer to a full prep suite. Next to the live Interview Copilot it has practice interviews in eight scenarios: general, coding, system design, behavioral, product case, data/ML, salary negotiation, and recruiter screen. It also writes debriefs automatically and can help with what's on your screen.
Pro starts at $25 a month. There's no free trial for live sessions, which need an active Pro subscription, and the desktop app requires macOS 14.4 or later, or Windows. We compared it with other options in Final Round AI alternatives.
LockedIn AI
LockedIn AI charges a flat rate: $54.99 a month on the monthly plan, or $39.99 a month if you pay every three months, with interviews of up to two hours each. It also sells credits and a lifetime plan, and it describes its plans as optimized for technical interviews. With several technical rounds a month, a flat price is easy to plan around. YesToTheOffer vs LockedIn AI goes through how the two work differently.
Interview Coder
Interview Coder began as a coding interview tool and has since added system design, behavioral questions, and audio. It's the most expensive option here. The app is free to download, but the AI features need a plan: $299 a month for 1,000 usage credits, or $799 once for lifetime access. It runs on Mac and Windows.
What four interviews cost
Take a month with four one-hour interviews:
| Tool | Cheapest way to cover 4 hours |
|---|---|
| YesToTheOffer | $29.99 (240 minutes is exactly 4 hours) |
| Parakeet AI | $97 with credits (3 credits for $59 plus 1 for $38) |
| LockedIn AI | $54.99 (one month of Unlimited) |
| Final Round AI | From $25 a month (the lowest price on its pricing page) |
| Interview Coder | $299 (one month) |
Over a long search with an interview every week, a flat-rate plan will probably come out ahead. For a handful of interviews, paying by the minute costs less.
Which one to pick
If you have a few interviews and want to spend as little as possible, start with a pay-per-minute tool and use the free minutes first. If your search will run for months, compare the unlimited plans. For coding rounds, check that screenshot help is part of the plan you're buying. And if you'd like to practice before the real thing, choose a tool with mock interviews, or rehearse against a recorded interview video.
Reviews of the main tools
If you're comparing specific products, we've checked each one's own site for prices and features:
- Final Round AI review: subscription with practice interviews and live help
- LockedIn AI review: unlimited plans and mobile apps
- Parakeet AI review: credits or an unlimited subscription
- Sensei AI review: free sessions, $89 monthly or $24 a month billed yearly
- Interview Sidekick review: a large question bank and unlimited mock interviews
- Huddlemate review: pay per hour of active use
- Cluely review: a meeting assistant
- Interview Coder alternatives
Each review compares the tool with YesToTheOffer, which is billed per minute with no subscription.
Check the rules first
Employers set their own rules about AI tools. Read the instructions you get, and don't use an assistant where it isn't allowed. The safest uses are preparation, mock interviews, note-taking, and going over the interview afterward to see what to improve. Our AI interview copilot guide walks through that workflow.
