Sensei AI is an interview copilot that listens to a live interview and drafts answers from your resume and stories. People searching for it want the same few answers: what does it cost, is there a free version, and how does it compare. This review uses Sensei AI's own site as of October 7, 2026. We make a competing product, YesToTheOffer, so we say where Sensei AI fits.
The short version
| What it is | An interview copilot that transcribes the interviewer and drafts answers from your resume and personal stories |
| Price | Free with 15-minute copilot sessions. Pro is $89 a month, or $24 a month billed annually |
| Free | Yes, with the session length capped at 15 minutes |
| Good for | A long search where the yearly price spreads the cost, and people who want resume and story tools in the same app |
| Less good for | A few interviews, or anyone who doesn't want to commit to a year |
What Sensei AI does
Per its homepage, you upload your resume, personal stories, and job information. The tool then listens to the interviewer in real time and drafts answers tailored to your background. The homepage lists:
- Real-time speech recognition with sub-second response
- Answers tailored to your job role, resume, and stories, often laid out in STAR order (situation, task, action, result)
- An AI resume builder and a story editor
- A playground where you can try the AI before an interview
- Settings to adjust the tone and style of answers
- A Coding Copilot for technical questions
- More than 30 languages
- Support for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet
The site also makes strong marketing claims, such as a "96 percent interview success rate" and being "guaranteed to land your dream job". Those are the company's own statements and we couldn't verify them. Treat any tool's success claims with caution, since your results depend on your preparation and the interviewer.
What Sensei AI costs
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 15-minute copilot sessions, plus the resume builder, story editor, customization, industry add-ons, coding copilot, and playground |
| Pro, monthly | $89 a month | Unlimited copilot sessions and the same tools |
| Pro, yearly | $24 a month, billed annually | The same as monthly. The page marks it as saving 73 percent |
The yearly plan is $24 x 12 = $288 billed at once. The big gap between the monthly and yearly price is the thing to understand. If you pay month to month, it's $89, which is more than most competitors. The $24 rate needs you to commit to a full year of payments up front. If your search ends in two months, you've paid for ten you don't use. Check the cancellation and refund terms before buying: the site has an FAQ on its cancellation policy that we didn't read in full.
Is Sensei AI free?
Yes, in a limited way. The free plan includes the tools but caps each copilot session at 15 minutes, which is enough to test the app but not to cover a full interview.
Is Sensei AI worth it?
It depends on how long you'll use it.
| Your situation | Cheapest Sensei AI option |
|---|---|
| One or two interviews | The free plan, if 15-minute sessions are enough, or one month at $89 |
| A search of 2 to 3 months | $89 a month, for $178 to $267 in total |
| A search you expect to run most of a year | The $288 annual plan |
For a short search, the monthly price is expensive. For a long search, the yearly price is low per month but requires a bigger payment up front.
How YesToTheOffer compares
We make YesToTheOffer, so weigh this accordingly.
| Sensei AI | YesToTheOffer | |
|---|---|---|
| Billing | $89 a month, or $24 a month billed annually ($288) | Minute packs, no subscription |
| Packs | n/a | $29.99 for 240 minutes, $59.99 for 600, $99.99 for 1,200 |
| Unused time | Ends when the subscription ends | Minutes don't expire |
| Free to try | 15-minute sessions on the free plan | 30 free minutes |
| Resume and story tools | AI resume builder and story editor | Answers built from your resume and job description. No resume builder |
| Coding help | Coding Copilot | Screenshot coding help at 0.2x |
| Review after the interview | Not described on the homepage | Transcript and review |
Sensei AI has more tools around the interview, such as the resume builder and story editor. YesToTheOffer is cheaper for a limited number of interviews, because you pay for minutes used and nothing expires. If you spend 10 hours in a month, the 600-minute pack at $59.99 covers it, against $89 for Sensei's month. Check the rules first
Sensei AI's homepage describes the tool as undetectable. That doesn't make it allowed. Many employers ban AI help in live interviews and assessments, and some ask you to confirm you won't use it. If you're found out, you can lose the offer.
The safest uses of any copilot are practice, mock interviews, and reviewing a transcript afterward. Our AI interview copilot guide shows how to prepare answers from your own experience.
