coding interview copilot

UltraCode is a coding interview copilot sold as a one-time purchase. It reads coding, system design, and object-oriented design questions from your screen and drafts answers. The question most people have is whether a $799 lifetime price is worth it. This review uses UltraCode's own site as of October 9, 2026. We make a competing product, YesToTheOffer, so we say where UltraCode fits.

The short version

What it isA coding interview copilot for coding, system design, and OOD questions
Price$799 once for lifetime access, shown as a discount from $1,799
FreeA free download with no credit card needed for the trial
PlatformsWindows and Mac
Good forSomeone who expects many coding interviews over a long period and prefers to pay once
Less good forA search of a few weeks, or anyone who wants to pay for only the time used

What UltraCode does

According to its site, UltraCode helps with:

  • Coding challenges and LeetCode-style problems
  • System design questions
  • Object-oriented design problems
  • Questions asked aloud and questions shown on screen
  • Live interview question and answer sessions

The site lists support for CoderPad, HackerRank, CodeSignal, Chime, Zoom, and more, and says it is "100% invisible even when you share your full screen". Those are the company's own claims, and we haven't verified them.

What UltraCode costs

PlanPriceWhat you get
Free trial$0A free download, no credit card needed
Lifetime$799 onceUnlimited lifetime access. The site shows it marked down from $1,799, which it describes as 60 percent off

No monthly option appeared on the page. The FAQ lists a refund and cancellation policy, but the text of the policy wasn't on the page we read, so check it before you pay. A "was $1,799" price that is permanently marked down is a common marketing pattern, so judge the product on the $799 figure, not the discount.

Is UltraCode free?

You can download it and try it without a credit card. The page doesn't say what limits the trial has, so find that out before you rely on it for a real interview.

Is UltraCode worth $799?

A one-time price is good value only if you'll use the tool a lot.

Your situationWhat the $799 price means
One or two coding roundsPoor value. Almost all of the price goes unused
A search of a month or twoPoor value compared with paying for the minutes you use
Interviewing steadily for a year or moreCan be reasonable, if the tool keeps up with the platforms you face

Lifetime plans also carry a risk that is easy to forget: the product has to keep working. Interview platforms and assessment tools change, and "lifetime" means the life of the product, not yours.

How YesToTheOffer compares

We make YesToTheOffer, so weigh this accordingly.

For scale, $799 would buy about seven of YesToTheOffer's 1,200-minute packs ($699.93), which is 8,400 minutes or 140 hours of full live sessions, and more in screenshot-only coding mode. If you'll truly use a tool every week for years, paying once can win. For most searches, paying for the minutes you use costs far less. Check the rules first

UltraCode markets itself as hidden from screen sharing. That doesn't make it allowed. Many employers ban AI help in live interviews and online assessments, and some ask you to confirm you won't use it. If you're found out, you can lose the offer or be removed from the process.

The safest uses of any coding or interview copilot are practice, mock interviews, and reviewing a transcript afterward. Our AI interview copilot guide shows how to prepare answers from your own experience.
