LockedIn AI is one of the most searched interview assistants, and the questions are the usual ones: what does it cost, is it free, does it work on my computer, and is it right for me. This review uses LockedIn AI's own site as of October 7, 2026. We make a competing product, YesToTheOffer, so we say where LockedIn AI is the stronger choice.
The short version
| What it is | An interview assistant with a copilot for live interviews, a coding copilot, mock interviews, and mobile apps |
| Price | Unlimited plan at $54.99 a month, or $39.99 a month billed every 3 months. Credit and lifetime plans also exist |
| Free | The site says new users get free access. We couldn't find the exact allowance on the pages we read |
| Platforms | Windows 10 and above, macOS 13.1 and above, plus iOS and Android apps |
| Good for | A heavy schedule of technical interviews, where unlimited sessions beat paying per hour |
| Less good for | A few interviews, because you pay for the month or quarter whether or not you use it |
What LockedIn AI does
The site lists several products:
- Interview Copilot: it listens to your interview, analyzes the questions, and gives real-time answers and coaching.
- Coding Copilot: algorithm problem breakdowns and code review help.
- LockedIn Duo: a feature that lets a trusted helper give you live guidance remotely.
- An online assessment helper that names HireVue, CodeSignal, and HackerRank.
- Desktop and mobile apps.
It says it works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and LiveStorm, and in principle with other platforms by capturing system audio. It lists support for more than 50 languages and states an average response speed of 116 milliseconds.
What LockedIn AI costs
The pricing page has an Unlimited tab, a Credits tab, and a Lifetime tab.
| Unlimited plan | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $54.99 a month | Shown with a standard price of $109.98 crossed out, so the page presents it as 50 percent off |
| Every 3 months | $39.99 a month, billed every 3 months | That's $119.97 per charge. The page shows it as 64 percent off the standard price |
Both Unlimited plans list unlimited interview sessions (coding, meeting, and online assessments) plus unlimited mock interviews, access to several leading AI models, and unlimited document uploads. The monthly plan notes support for up to 2 hours per interview.
The Credits plan is described as credits that never expire, used per minute of session. The pricing page we read didn't show credit prices, and it didn't give a price for Lifetime. Check those on the site. The FAQ also includes a question about why a subscription costs more in the mobile app, so compare the price inside an app store with the price on the website before you buy.
The page mentions a money-back guarantee but we didn't read the terms. Read them before paying.
Is LockedIn AI free?
The site's FAQ says all new users get free access. The exact amount of free use wasn't on the pages we read, so open the app and check what your account includes before an interview.
Does LockedIn AI work on Mac and Windows?
Yes. The site lists Windows 10 and above and macOS 13.1 and above. That's a lower macOS requirement than some competitors, so it suits older Macs. It also has iOS and Android apps.
Who it suits
LockedIn AI's unlimited plans make sense when you expect many interviews in a short time. Three technical rounds a week for a month costs the same as one. Unlimited mock interviews included in the plan are also useful, because practice is where most of the improvement happens.
It's a poor fit for someone with two or three interviews in a month. At $54.99 for the month, you'd pay a flat fee for a handful of hours. A pay-per-minute tool usually costs less in that case.
How YesToTheOffer compares
We make YesToTheOffer, so weigh this with that in mind.
| LockedIn AI | YesToTheOffer | |
|---|---|---|
| Billing | Subscription: $54.99 a month, or $39.99 a month billed every 3 months | Minute packs, no subscription |
| Packs | Credit and lifetime options also exist | $29.99 for 240 minutes, $59.99 for 600, $99.99 for 1,200 |
| Unused time | The subscription ends when you stop paying | Minutes don't expire |
| Free to try | New users get free access (amount not shown) | 30 free minutes |
| Mock interviews | Unlimited on the Unlimited plans | Mock interviews by voice, with a transcript and review |
| Coding help | Coding Copilot | Screenshot coding help, counted at 0.2x |
| Platforms | Windows 10+, macOS 13.1+, iOS, Android | Mac (Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows, web |
LockedIn AI wins on unlimited use and on mobile apps. YesToTheOffer wins on paying only for what you use. If you use four hours in a month, $29.99 is far below a $54.99 plan. If you use 40 hours, the unlimited plan is cheaper. See our full comparison with LockedIn AI, the Cluely alternatives guide, and our reviews of Final Round AI and Parakeet AI.
Check the rules first
LockedIn AI's site advertises help on online assessments and a Duo feature for a remote helper. Those are exactly the situations where employers usually forbid outside help. Using a tool the rules don't allow can cost you the offer, and it doesn't matter whether the tool is hidden. Read the instructions you're given.
The safe uses are practice, mock interviews, and reviewing a transcript afterward. Our AI interview copilot guide explains how to build answers from your own experience.
